I'll just say I don't like Valentine's Day for reasons that it's so commercialized, and now that I finally have a significant other to spend it with, I feel more obligated to get him something because if I don't.....well that would just make me an ungrateful bitch right? Lol.
But no, seriously, I love my husband David, not just on Valentine's day, and I try to show him how much I care every single day. I love him so much.
This year I told him we'd keep it simple. He wanted to go out and buy me one of those huge stuffed teddy bears he saw at the BX. I was like, "WTF? Baby I already have enough stuffed toys sitting in the guest bedroom, if anything, it will end up being Red's $40 hump buddy.....dinner would be nice instead."
I did buy David a couple small things though. Hypocrite much? You won't be saying it when I show you what it is. It's freaking adorable.
Will post on Hearts Day. ;)

How to Transfer Music from iPod to Computer?
Posted by
Isabelle
For all the dumb asses out there (like me) who didn't think to make a backup disk of all the songs and pictures on their iPods and upgraded to a new laptop, there is a way to transfer your crap without losing it all and having to start over again.
AND it's a legit website that's FREE. I'm writing this entry just to keep it for future reference, as well as spare you the hassle of using Google to sift through website after website charging you to pay to use their programs lol.
So simple. Getsharepod.com
There's the site, that's all you need. No fees, just download and follow instructions.

My Honest Review on Bare Minerals
Posted by
Isabelle
Yikes, it's been a while. So I just got back after a loooooong month vacation with my family in Colorado. I have to say, it was very much needed, and even though I do miss everyone already, it's nice to be back in the land of potatoes once again with the hubby and my 90 lb skittish yellow lab.
While I was away for the holidays I did get to do a lot of shopping, which is always a plus. I used some of the Christmas shopping money from my mom and purchased the Bare Minerals Starter Kit. I've been wanting to try Bare Minerals for the longest time, and after seeing the commercials for a couple years I finally caved in and bought the damn set lol.
The kit cost me $65 (tax included) and it comes with a small bottle of Skin Rev-er Upper primer, three labeled brushes: concealer brush, flawless application face brush, and a full flawless face brush (one is just bigger than the other). Also included is bronzer, mineral veil, and a foundation of your choice. I had help from the sales lady at Sephora in picking the right one for my skin tone, and apparently I am Golden Tan. Wooooo.
Here's what I like, here's what I don't like about it.
Pros: It blends nicely when you apply it correctly using the "swirl, tap, and blend technique" that they show on the instructional DVD, and it creates that flawless look that everyone seems to go on and on about. I do like the mineral veil as well, it sets my makeup and keeps my face from looking oily.
Cons: My biggest complaint was that it irritated my skin, especially whenever I would sweat. I'm not sure if it was the brushes or the primer that caused it, but for the first few days that I used Bare Minerals I couldn't wear it for more than a few hours before I had to wash it off my face. However, after washing my brushes, my face feels fine now after applying. I still am not sure whether it was the brushes or my skin's initial reaction to the primer, I guess I will never know for sure lol.
Anyways, to answer the question that everyone asks: Does Bare Minerals really work?
In my honest opinion, it's not worth 65 bucks. While I do use it everyday, I wouldn't run out and buy it again. It doesn't give me enough coverage. I still have to put on concealer and my liquid foundation UNDER the bare minerals foundation to get the full coverage that I want.
And I don't even have terrible skin. Every once in a while I get the occasional pimple, but this stuff doesn't even cover up the small red areas near my nose or my chin.
Looks like I will be sticking to liquid foundations. Mineral foundation by itself just doesn't do it for me.
